Interests:
Carboranes, Photoluminescence, Spectroelectrochemistry
Adam joined the Heeney Group as a PhD student in the Centre for Plastic Electronics at Imperial College London. After graduating in 2019 with a thesis entitled “Carborane-induced deformation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and their intriguing emissive properties”, he took up a postdoctoral position in the Department of Materials investigating a hydrometallurgical approach for the recycling of lead acid batteries, before becoming an Associate Editor at the journal Nature. Returning to the Heeney Group at KAUST in 2022, Adam’s research interests include the fundamental properties of carborane-containing small molecules, and their application in 2D halide perovskite materials.
