Originally from Sweden, Filip started his academic journey in 2014, studying Chemistry at Imperial College London. Following his graduation in 2018 he was awarded a studentship to further his studies at Imperial, pursuing a PhD under supervision of Prof. Martin Heeney. After completing his PhD in early 2023, he joined KAUST as a Postdoctoral Fellow a few months later. His research has thus far focused on the synthesis of carborane-containing materials and molecular doping, and at KAUST he will continue exploring various ideas related to material design, as well as the implementation of flow chemistry for improved synthetic processes.
